When account is disabled, does it get removed from Facebook search? My friend is going to the job interview and she is considering deleting her profile altogether, just to keep her privacy.

When account is disabled most probably it will not turn up in search. You can give it a try before going to interview. Good Luck

I don’t know where to comment about this, a bit off topic. Anyway I went thru a couple of your posts and found some grammatical errors. Take care of that, your blog looks very professional thumbs up for that
Here’s an example
“So in Order follow these steps to et indexed quickly:”

Thank you very much for telling that I would keep that in mind. It’s just human typing error next time I will do spell and grammer check before posting. Thanks again for your review.

Yeah. This was a big deal a little bit ago. I think Facebook will continue to mis-step like this because they simply have to find a way to make money. The users have this unbelievable expectation that the service can remain free forever. But it is a for-profit business people.

I cannot delete my account:
When I type in my password and the captcha it says always “Password/Captcha Incorrect. Try again”.
But when I login/logout with my password, it works.
I tried both with Opera and IE browser. JavaScript is turned on.
I have also not found a mail address for support on facebook.
What can I do?

I’m getting the same problem with deleting my Facebook account.
I’ve tried several times and I enter the password associated with the account and the captcha. Each time I get an error, that password or captcha was wrong.
This is crazy! Why isn’t this working? Anyone have a work around?

I’m questioning how you delete other people’s accounts? Not as a deceptive and evil way, but what if someone dies and the family wants their facebook profile removed?

I’m desperately trying to delete my facebook account but I’m not sure what password it is asking for after I hit the submit button. Is it the password for my facebook account?

Guys,
I may be your savior
Nice blog Aditya. I stumbled upon your blog looking for captcha incorrect in facebook delete page.
Here is the deal. After frustrating *several* attempts “Password/captcha incorrect. Try again” to delete my facebook account, I tested logging in and logging out (on a different tab of the same browser (FF3). I could login without any problem Patrick above says.
When this went on forever, I decided to atleast Deactivate it (which I had not done earlier). I cancelled the captcha incorrect popup and on the screen, logged in. Once I logged in, the same ‘Do you really want to delete your account?’ screen came up. I did everything and it worked like a charm. They say it will be deleted in 14 days. Lets see.
Make sure you are logged in when you hit the link Aditya has given above.
Hope this helps!

Just deleted my account using T’s suggestion. I had tried to delete it multiple times but always got the password incorrect thing. Just had to log in (which reactivated my long-deactivated account) and then go through the delete process using the link above. Success!

No, it does not work. You are forever in the loop of either password incorrect or kapcha incorrect. Unreal. Who would have thought that you couldn’t delete your profile if YOU want to.
